Online-Seminar "The transcendent basic sound on the pictorial plane"

The "transcendent basic sound on the pictorial plane" is the highest goal of the design. This terminology has its origin in German and reads: Der Klang auf der Fläche. Contrary to all translation difficulties, we agree on the term "sound" or "basic sound" or "transcendent basic sound" or "Klang".

All studies at TAO are based on this quality standard. The "basic sound" is the aesthetic force that is able to trigger a mental movement in the viewer. At the same time, it is the result of an immovable design.

The "sound" / "Klang" is an expression of success and aesthetic crisis in one, an all-encompassing, tension-filled harmony. An existential crisis is aesthetically bound in a sound and transformed into a successful design.

On a compositional level, there are objective criteria for creating a basic sound on the pictorial plane. Comparable criteria can also be derived in the context of color interaction.

This seminar comprehensively revolves around the topic of "sound" / "Klang auf der Fläche". Many exercises in composition and color train and sensitize the participants to the criteria of a successful, effective design.

The musical structure of a work of art is the crucial lesson in an artistic education. Therefore, this seminar primarily uses a musical terminology that illustrates the relationship of all arts. Ultimately we come to the realization that our entire world, due to its universal rhythm, has a musical structure that is in constant motion and sets us all in motion. Ultimately, our works of art form the resonances of the great, overarching world sound. Knowing the laws of sound production can be helpful in unleashing the appropriate resonances in your own work.
